Amanda McArthur

Clinical Nutritionist: Nutrition, Food as Medicine, Lifestyle Advice

Amanda completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine) at Endeavour College of Natural Health, and is currently in her final year of Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) at Torrens University.

Amanda has always had a strong interest in cooking and using food as medicine. As a young girl she loved to cook for others and adjust recipes to make them more nutritious. Combining this with her caring nature and love of nuturing others led her to become a Clinical Nutritionist.

As a Clinical Nutritionist, Amanda uses a holistic approach.  This approach looks at a person's health from all angles and takes into account diet, lifestyle, genetic factors and biochemistry. Using evidence-based research, pathology and functional testing, she will carefully put together the puzzle pieces of a person's  health to provide an individual treatment plan. Acute and chronic health concerns can be addressed and optimal health achieved by using food as medicine, as well as prescribing supplements if required.

With her broad knowledge of Nutrition and experience as a mother of five, Amanda has a special interest in women's and children's health. She is able to assist with:

  • Mental Health: Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Eating Disorders
  • Neurodiversity: ADHD, ASD
  • Immunity: Autoimmune Conditions
  • Digestive issues: IBS, SIBO
  • Skin Conditions: Acne, eczema, psoriasis and ageing
  • Nutrition in Sport

Amanda's empathetic nature will ensure you feel listened to and involved in your consultation and treatment plan. Particularly for children, it is so important to feel connected, safe and heard.

When she is not researching all things nutrition, herbs and health, Amanda loves cooking and trying new recipes on her family, as well as walking her two boxer dogs in the park.
