Simon Murray
Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Acupuncture & Herbalist
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha and Tui Na Massage
Like many people in this field, I initially came to Chinese Medicine seeking help for my own chronic health issues, and found it beneficial where most other approaches were not. This inspired me to learn how to help others in turn, so I enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Science degree (Chinese Medicine) at Southern School of Natural Therapies, and then began practice as soon as I was certified in 2016. I have been blessed to have some wonderful mentors and experienced colleagues help me to broaden my knowledge and skills beyond the basics, and I must equally thank all the trusting clients who have helped enlighten me about all the different ways people can be both out of balance, and helped back into it.
My main therapies are Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, though I regularly use Cupping Therapy, diet and lifestyle advice, Gua Sha and Tui Na (types of massage), and good old-fashioned conversation to help resolve all kinds of health complaints. The most common conditions I see in the clinic include all types of internal and external pain, digestive disharmony, mental/emotional issues, menstrual and fertility problems, sleep disorders, low energy, allergies/low immunity etc. That said, there is virtually nothing that Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture hasn’t treated throughout its long history, so anyone with what they feel is a unique condition shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help.
It’s my aim to make everyone feel comfortable, listened to and safe when they visit me at Brunswick Holistic Health, so I spend time asking lots of questions to ascertain the details of your condition, and make sure to discuss and gain consent for each stage of treatment. We’re in this together! I’ve been told I have a very gentle acupuncture technique, and I try to minimise the number of needles used per session.
If you have any further questions about how I can help you please get in touch with the clinic, and I’ll do my best to supply helpful information.
